Facebook Partnered with Paul Manafort’s #1 Partner in Social Media Influence Operations – To Restore The Integrity of Elections Worldwide.

The fake news media has somehow ignored the story of the century – I have not! Below I describe and document my work in pioneering social media psychological warfare for the U.S. Department of Defense, and how my employer, Obama’s National Security Adviser, Gen. James Jones, was Paul Manafort’s #1 preferred partner. Below is the full story.

In 2018 Facebook partnered with the Atlantic Council to restore the integrity of elections worldwide. Gen. Jones is the Chairman of the Atlantic Council, and I believe Mark Zuckerberg owns congress an explanation. Please make sure to share!

The ability to covertly alter elections, influence legislation for lobbyists or shape our foreign and domestic policy is not just a great idea for the next John Grisham novel. The ShadowNet was a commercially available product designed with the capability of doing all that, and much more.

It was developed at taxpayer expense as part of a Defense Department contract in support of the 4th Psychological Operations Group in Iraq. I worked for a small, 15-person company called Dynology in pioneering what was known as Interactive Internet Activities, or IIA in military nomenclature. Here is a copy of the memorandum from the chief of the IIA program I supported in Iraq from October, 2007 – September, 2008.

Dynology was owned by Gen. James Jones, whom has served as former NATO Supreme Allied Commander, Obama’s National Security Adviser, and Chairman of the Atlantic Council. The ShadowNet, and its relational database, iPsy, were built at taxpayer expense under both Obama and Bush administration contracts – while Gen. Jones was serving as Obama’s National Security Adviser.

Dynology kept the intellectual property rights to the ShadowNet, then licensed it back to the Department of Defense on later contracts while serving as Obama’s National Security Adviser.

I, Patrick Bergy, worked for Gen. Jones’s company, Dynology, from 2007-2015. It was from 2007-2010 that I worked on the ShadowNet, which was the products commercial name, not a classified operational name. Below is a screenshot of the actual ShadowNet application and a flyer we made to promote publicly. Notice the 2009 Dynology Copyright on the bottom of the application.

Dynology ShadowNet Marketing Slick from 2008 when it was first made available to the public and private sector consumer.

Unbeknownst to me, at the same time Dynology was making this tactical social media psychological warfare capability available to the public commercially, Gen. Jones had partnered with his lifelong friend, John McCain, to provide IT services to his 2008 presidential primary campaign. Gen. Jones was also the #1 preferred partner of Paul Manafort and Rick Davis, whom owned 3EDC.

This is a screen-capture from Google’s “Way-Back” Machine showing a snapshot of 3EDC’s website in 2007.

This is a screen-capture from Google’s “Way-Back” Machine showing a snapshot of 3EDC’s website in 2007.

“3EDC was established to develop cutting edge web and data tools. These tools are designed to connect people and to affect results in the political, social and commercial worlds.”

3EDC’s website in 2007 owned by Paul Manafort and Rick Davis.

Although I originally saw the connection between Paul Manafort’s company, 3EDC, in a Vault 7 Wikileaks dump, it didn’t take long for me to make even more disturbing connections to McCain, Gen. Jones, Paul Manafort and Rick Davis. Below are quotes from a 2008 US News report. The report has been removed by US News, but I was able to dig it up using the Way-Back Machine.

I pulled the following articles together to help better understand Davis and Manafort’s relationship to Gen. James Jones and John McCain. Here is a quote from a TPM article titled, “McCain-Palin (Davis Manafort). I wonder what Mike Isikoff would say if he knew about the ShadowNet’s connection to McCain, Manafort and Davis? I’ve sent him an email asking him that very question along with a link to this post.

“In that Newsweek piece (noted below), which details Rick Davis’s continuing financial ties to mega-lobby firm Davis Manafort, Mike Isikoff reveals that in addition to paying Davis’s salary directly to Davis Manafort, the McCain campaign has paid almost a million dollars to 3eDC, a web development company, part owned by Davis.”

“Now, digging around a little, I notice that 3eDC is pretty closely tied to Davis Manafort. Not only, as Newsweek notes, does the company share an address with Davis Manafort. Last year, US News got Davis to admit that the company has two owners — Rick Davis and Paul Manafort.

” The questions surrounding Davis concern his part ownership of a company, 3eDC, and its ties to the McCain campaign. Like Weaver and Nelson, Davis, the campaign CEO, is paid $20,000 a month. Additionally, however, Davis’s 3eDC has a lucrative contract with the campaign. U.S. News could find no public record showing Davis’s ownership interest in 3EDC, but in an interview he acknowledged that he was one of its two owners. McCain’s spokesman, Brian Jones, confirmed that Davis “did not disclose his interest in 3eDC to Senator McCain.'”

In this next quote, I found it interesting how they noted Manafort’s company only really existed on paper, and that, “it had a series of other ‘partner firms’ that did the actual work.” The fact Manafort’s number one partner, Dynology, owned the ShadowNet, which uses the same fake online persona’s and influence operations we indicted the Russian’s for in 2018, should alarm EVERYONE – irrespective of their political affiliations.

“And there’s a bit more. According to a July 2007 article in the Wall Street Journal, 3eDC was a “start-up … with one customer — the [McCain] campaign.” The Journalfurther reported that within the campaign it was understood that 3eDC was essentially a pass-through, that it had a series of other ‘partner firms’ that did the actual work.

Now, take a look at the Michael Isakoff article where he shows 3EDC’s address is the same as Manafort’s. After, take a look at the address registered for Dynology, a company you will find nowhere shown as having been founded by Gen. James Jones. Then take a look at the address registered to Jones Group International, which is a private lobbying firm with ties to middle-east and Ukrainian energy markets. They do this because they know the optics of owning a defense contracting company when you are the NATO Supreme Allied Commander or Obama’s National Security Adviser looks really, really bad.

“Separately, another entity created and partly owned by Davis—an Internet firm called 3eDC, whose address was the same office building as Davis Manafort’s—received payments from the McCain campaign for Web services, collecting $971,860 through March 2008.”

Below is the address for Jones Group International that is currently listed on their website.

Here is the address listed for Dynology Corporation, owners of the ShadowNet. Dynology states on their website they were founded in 1999. Gen. James Jones was serving in uniform throughout that period, and while serving as Obama’s National Security Adviser. The address is the same for Dynology as it is for Jones Group International.

And, of course, the address for ClearForce, which is a massive database of social media profiles, criminal records, travel and other personally identifiable information used to create behavioral profiles designed to predicatively determine if an employee is likely to steal or leak classified information from their employer. ClearForce is the next generation of the ShadowNet, and should be something EVERYONE should be deeply concerned about.

Here are the board of directors for ClearForce. Members include but are not limited to: Gen. James Jones, Gen. Michael Hayden, Jim Jones (son of Gen. Jones) and the California Democrat Congresswoman Eileen Tauscher. These are the holders of the “Keys to the Kingdom,” which I describe in a video in an earlier posting.

Here is what McCain’s 2008 Presidential Campaign provided at payouts to both 3EDC and Dynology.

Here is the payout to Dynology, found on the same FEC website. This is direct and verifiable evidence of the relationship between both Gen. James Jones, the ShadowNet and 3EDC.

In this chart I have put together a list connecting those related to the Mueller indictments for social media influence operations during the 2016 U.S. Presidential elections, to the ShadowNet, Dynology and ClearForce. It is just what I was able to uncover myself, imagine if ANY of the journalists I have reached out to in the last 3 years had worked with me…

Now, notice how once the Republican primary had ended and the RNC took over, McCain put $3 million into 3EDC through the RNC. You will find this payment listed by McCain’s campaign as “micro-targeted social media.” I believe it was at this time during Trumps 2016 presidential election, just after candidate Trump won the Republican primary, that John McCain, working with his powerful, lifelong friends with covert, influence operations infrastructure already in place, to insert Paul Manafort into Trumps campaign.

Why Manafort? Recent information being reported by the Ukrainian government shows members of DNC had asked them to find information on Paul Manafort that could be used to influence the election. Who would be more capable of orchestrating that than Paul Manafort’s former business partner and Obama’s National Security Adviser, Gen. James Jones? I’m open to any suggestions, but nobody has shown me anyone with the connections, experience and has a direct relationship with others like McCain that could have put this together. The fact McCain’s hands were literally in possession of the fabricated Russian dossier, and a senior McCain staff member was responsible for its dissemination to the fake news media. Do you think John McCain would do all of this himself, or call on a friend like Gen. James Jones to handle the operation?

“Perhaps not surprisingly, in June, the Post’s Matthew Mosk reported that shortly after McCain took over the Republican National Committee in his role as de facto nominee, 3eDC resurfaced with its second client to date — the Republican National Committee — with a contract potentially worth as much as $3 million.”

So, get this. John McCain paid for “micro-targeted social media” in his 2008 presidential bid to the small, privately owned company I was working for pioneering “micro-targeted” social media psychological warfare capabilities – which was also his lifelong best friend. However, in 2018 John McCain sponsors legislation banning it, “as a response to reports of Russian meddling in the 2016 elections” . Notice how his ban is focused on foreign countries, and not domestic threat-actors.

A bill was also introduced in late October by Sens. John McCain, R-Ariz., Amy Klobuchar, D-Minn., and Mark Warner D-Va. The “Honest Ads Act,” whose sponsors have described it as a response to reports of Russian meddling in the 2016 elections, would require online advertisers to meet many of the same disclaimer requirements as sponsors of broadcast messages.

Margaret Sessa-Hawkins | January 08, 2018 “FEC’s New Facebook Ruling Requires Ad Sharing Info Yet Gives Reformers Little to Like” [https://maplight.org/story/fecs-new-facebook-ruling-requires-ad-sharing-info-yet-gives-reformers-little-to-like/ ]

Irrespective of any involvement by Obama’s National Security Adviser, Gen. James Jones, in the fabricated Russian dossier, which is exactly the type of product or service a company like Dynology would provide, Gen. Jones’s personal involvement in social media psychological warfare is not in questions.

Additionally, Gen. Jones served in uniform as a 4 star general, NATO Supreme Allied Commander and other senior government positions while profiting personally from department of defense contracts. I would argue someone with a moral compass that broken wouldn’t hesitate to use illegal or covert means to alter the outcome of an American election if it provided him greater power and profit.

So now Facebook has been called before congress to explain their involvement in the 2016 presidential election influence operations, and has promised congress they were going to clean up their act. Facebook recently reported the potential of a $5 billion fine for violations related to privacy issues.

So you can imagine my surprise when Facebook decided to partner with the Atlantic Council in an effort to, “combat election-related propaganda and misinformation from proliferating on its service.” while Gen. James Jones is the Chairman of the Atlantic Council. Yes, Facebook literally partnered with Paul Manafort’s #1 preferred partner to cleanup the integrity of the election process using social media.
